Born in England, Margaret Hollingsworth immigrated to Canada in 1968. She is known as an award winning playwright whose work has been produced internationally; in addition to drama (stage, radio, film and T.V.) she has published essays, articles, reviews, short stories and a novel and is now writing poetry. She has been Writer-in-Residence at the Stratford Festival and at major universities across the country. She has taught Creative Writing at colleges and universities across the country, was an Associate professor at the University of Victoria where her work is archived, and is currently a Professor Emeritus at U.Vic. Margaret divides her time between Canada and the U.K.
